HOW TO COMPETE

ALL WORKOUTS ARE PROGRAMMED SO EVERYONE CAN PARTICIPATE AND ADVANCE THROUGH THE TIME. IT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL COMPETITIORS WILL PERFORM THE ENTIRE WORKOUT EVERY TIME.

The first step to participating in the CAGOQ as an individual is to register! Choose your division and then prepare for 3 weeks of fun! Multiple workouts to perform and secure your participation at the 2020 CrossFit® Atlas Games in Montreal

Grab your friends and compete as a team for the CAGOQ! Teammates do not have to be in the same gym or even the same country to participate! Get ready to tackle 10 workouts over 10 days and secure your participation at the 2020 CrossFit® Atlas Games in Montreal.

DIVISION STANDARDS & SPOTS AVAILABLE

THE BELOW STANDARDS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A GUIDELINE FOR MOVEMENT STANDARDS AND ATLASGAMES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE ANY CHANGES TO SKILLS, LOADS, EXERCISE, ETC. THESE ARE CONSIDERED TO BE “WORKING WEIGHTS” AND EXERCISES THAT CAN BE PERFORMED FOR MULTIPLE REPETITIONS IF PROGRAMMED.

Athletes in this division are expected to have performed all workouts in the 2019 Open as prescribed with no scales or modifications.

  • Snatch (165/115lb)
  • Clean & Jerk (245/145lb)
  • Chest to Bar Pull-Ups, Double-Unders, Ring/Bar Muscle-Ups, Toes to Bar, Handstand Walk, Strict Handstand Push-Ups, Legless Rope Climbs, Single Leg Squats
  • Proficiency performing any movements with dumbbells (50/35lb)

CrossFit® ATLAS GAMES QUALIFYING SPOTS

Individual– 1st to 30th (30 qualifying spots total)
Eligible for Invite – 10 Athletes

*Invitations are based on past Atlas Games, Sanctional finishes and the CrossFit Games.

  • Top 20 Finishers (men & women) at the 2019 CrossFit Games
  • Previous CrossFit Games podium finishers
  • Previous 1st Place Indy Finisher at Atlas Games (last 3 years)
  • Previous CrossFit Sanctional Indy Elite winner (2019-2020)
*Atlas Project keeps the right to invite other athletes than the above, however athletes who wish to apply must respect the previous criteria.

Please note: 30/40 spots will be earned via the CAGOQ . If all above invites have been granted and spots are still available, they will be awarded to the next finishers in line via the CAGOQ leaderboard. Invitations process is subject to change at any time during the season.

Age Requirement: Athletes in this division must be 15 years of age but not older than 19 as of 2020/03/01

Boys -1st to 10th (10 qualifying spots total)
Girls -1st to 10th (10 qualifying spots total)

* A minimum of 15 athletes must be registered during the CAGOQ for the division to stay in place. Athletes will automatically be transfered in the Men & Women division if the division was to be cancelled. No refunds will be emitted.

Athletes in this division may have performed workouts in the 2019 Open as prescribed, but that is not mandatory.  Having performed workout(s) scaled or with modifications is acceptable and programming for this division will reflect that.  Athletes in this division can have some competition experience but limited. Athletes in this division should not have typical RX competition experience.

Not sure you’ll be able to do the workouts? Let us calm that fear right up front! The CAGOQ workouts are all-inclusive and designed for EVERY fitness level. You can expect to see weights and gymnastics movements differ per division, but everyone will be able to advance through the workout. Remember that we are here to get you out of your comfort zone and push your abilities to the next level.
